Team Dynamic was founded in 2006 as a Battlefield 2 team. The team started with 12
players that were playing their first season together in the Cyberathlete Amateur League,
or CAL for short. Team Dynamic’s rookie season was in the highly competitive CAL-Main
division where the team made it to the semi-finals of season 3. Team Dynamic went on to
win both season five and six of CAL-Main. Team Dynamic also competed in the Team Warfare
League, winning three championships and retiring atop the 8v8 and 12v12 ladders at #1.
The wins make Team Dynamic one of only three teams that won multiple league championships
during the course of Battlefield 2’s competitive life.
In late 2006, Team Dynamic branched out to become multi-game when it acquired a Call of
Duty 2 team that went on to compete in season 3 of Cal Invite. By late 2007, Team Dynamic
had acquired CounterStrike: Source, Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4, and Quake Live teams.
All four new divisions saw great success in North America’s premier pay leagues like
CyberEvolution-Professional (CEVO-P) and E-Sports Entertainment (ESEA). By far the standout
of the four was Team Dynamic CounterStrike: Source (TD.CSS).
Since joining Team Dynamic in 2007, TD.CSS team has won more league, tournament, and LAN
titles than any other North American CounterStrike team in the series’ history. In another
first for Team Dynamic, TD.CSS team competed internationally at the DSRack LAN in Denmark,
where the team placed second. Even more recently at EWSC in Paris, France the team placed
fourth. Currently, TD.CSS is unanimously the #1 team in North America. Internationally,
TD.CSS is one of the top five teams in the entire world. Currently Team Dynamic fields three
teams: CounterStrike: Source, Starcraft 2, and Battlefield 3. Team Dynamic is returning to
its roots with the release of Battlefield 3 and looks poised to compete at the highest level
once again.
Team Dynamic is an organization for the players, by the players. There is no “CEO” or “Owner”
of Team Dynamic, only a founder. We are quite different from other gaming organizations in
that we are non-profit and don’t take prize money and earnings from players. Our teams are
not contracted and want to play with us because we truly do care about their success. We provide
them the environment that is self-motivated and that is one of the reasons they are so stable
and successful. They know to go out and just play and win, not to worry about fulfilling some
agreement. Building on the success of our past and current teams, we want to further our reach
as an E-Sports organization and provide this opportunity to many gamers in a wide variety of games.
Starcraft 2 is the start of Team Dynamic’s push to expand.
As an entire organization Team Dynamic has over 100 league, tournament, and LAN titles, making
it one of the most prolific North American professional gaming organizations.
