TWL Battlefield 3 Launch Tournament

Competition has kicked off for Battlefield 3 with TWL’s Release Tournament. Round 1 was played on the universally hated Operation Metro, the only conquest map that is pure infantry. The map consists of 3 flags in a linear layout with one team having a clear advantage at the B flag due to the opposing team having to come up escalators, making the B flag essential to obtain off the first push.Dynamic.BF saw action against a group of competitive players from the Tactical Gamer community called The TG-21 Death Dealers. The first round saw Dynamic on the more difficult of the two sides and playing with an atypical roster for an infantry map. We had assumed, incorrectly I might add, that this team would be a push over. Dynamic lost the first round by 100 tickets, playing down a man the majority of the first round. Rounds 2 and 3 saw Dynamic using a more infantry oriented roster and were able to easily defeat the Death Dealers by over 200 tickets each round.
Due to a server patch, the next round of TWL’s tournament was postponed and round two will now be played on Thursday November 10th The map this round is Noshnar Canals, which has an atypical vehicle loadout for each side. the US gets two scout choppers, and two types of APC. Russia starts with two T-90 MBTs and one scout chopper. Dynamic faces |FEVER| Clan, who we know very little about. The team has been preparing much harder for round 2 than it had been for round 1, but will still have a possible difficult time due to our ace chopper pilot Zman not playing due to computer issues and we also face losing one of our two stud tankers, Malakai, to computer issues as well. If Dynamic wins in the second round, the team looks to go up against Zero Point Gaming on Grand Bazar which is a heavy infantry map.
Dynamic has also made a roster change since week 1 of the tournament. Dynamic.BF has picked up former Check-Six Battlefield infantry stand out Reef. Reef was picked up, not as a replacement for another player, but to solidify our infantry line-up that has been quite varied due to scheduling conflicts as of late.
For the remainder of the TWL tournament Dynamic’s roster will be the following: Infantry - Novarock, DouBle-D, Pfeiffer, Achilles, Reef, Rizz and Xor. Armor - Lt.Death, Malakai and possibly RedHot. Pilot - Zman. Smurf, TV, Chad, Johnny5, CardinalSpies and Ralph round out the roster doing whatever is needed.
